Hi! New to xbox soon. Do you need a laptop/pc when changing storage/ hard drive on xbox one like you do with ps4?
No, the xbox will format the hard drive itself. Scroll left from Home to open the guide. Select Settings. Select All settings. Select System. Select Storage. Select Manage storage. If you see your storage device listed, your console has detected it. If your Xbox doesn’t recognize this right away.. Scroll left from Home to open the guide. Select Settings. Select All settings. Select System. Look under Console info & updates. If it says Update available, there’s an update you need to install. After you’re done installing the update, go back to Settings and select System, and then Storage. See if your device appears in the list.
