Hello, i’m back to you because i just had a discussion with xbox technical support, and they confirmed that the remplacement of the optical drive is paired but in a easier way. it mean’s that i dont have to swap the PCB like the old version, can anyone confirm this information please ? thank you.
It’s exactly the same as with the Xbox One. You have to swap the drive board to the replacement drive. I can do that for you if you need. Just click on my name to get to my business contact info.
“Xbox technical support”? I assume you are talking with Microsoft. It’s easy for them, they have the tools to change pairing. So for them it’s just replacing the whole drive and use the software to reset everything. However we don’t have that tool so it is not possible for us.
