Chosen Solution

Hi I’ve been stressing out all day because everytime I turn on my Xbox, it says “Something went wrong” and everytime I troubleshoot/reset my Xbox, it goes to the same page over and over again, I also don’t have a USB Drive to do the offline update thing or whatever it’s called, anyone know what to do or should I just get rid of my Xbox One? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I think it saves you a lot of money to buy a 4gb USB drive or use one of your friends’ because it’s not necessary throw your Xbox away just because you don’t have a USB drive. If the USB drive trick doesn’t work hold the bind and eject button even after you hear two startup beeps. Do this while you boot it and you’ll get into factory update mode. This will update from the USB drive without need to push any other buttons. If this doesn’t work try taking out your hard drive and copying the files from osu1 that you can get Here to the A and B folders in the system update partition on the hard drive. But do not copy the file updater.xvd to the A and B folders. Put updater.xvd in the root folder of the system update partition

I’m having the same issue. I’ve used a USB to copy over the data to xbox now its stuck on “prepairing console…” and that is it grey screen. This is the second time it happened within this week and I’ve already used my warranted and I got a brand new system and today is second day playing it till this happened. And nothing is working.
