Hello. Just tried to turn my PS4 on two days ago. Someone suggested to leave it for a couple hours unplugged. Did so and does nothing. No light, no sound. Tried it in different sockets & also tried using my PS3’s cord. The PS3 works on both, so not that. Thinking it might be the power supply but I have just taken it fully apart & there are no burnt out parts, but something might have failed in another way. Anyone had something similar happen?
This sounds weird, but let’s try it to make it work was remove the power cord and switch it on, it will beep with a light and then die (without the cord) then when u start it up hold down the boot button till it beeps twice and it will rebuild the database… Try taking the ps4 and unplug power cord.Apr 23, 2015
It’s likely that it’s a power supply problem. Most of the time when it’s not the power cord and it’s plugged in to a known good outlet but still shows no power and no beeps it’s the power supply. I’m assuming that it doesn’t beep when you press the eject button either. If it does then that would rule out the power supply…if it doesn’t then that would indicate that it’s likely a bad power supply. The only other thing is that it could be the power control ic chip. This is very uncommon but does happen sometimes. Lastly it could just be some other random problem with the motherboard or one of it’s components. I hope this helps.
