van was running fine went to place it in park and turned it off when i went to start it again there was nothing noticed then that the indicator for what gear it was in was reverse
its probably the safety neutral switch out of adjustment or defective it should be located on steering column down by floor board
It likely won’t let you start the engine unless your in park. It may say that your in reverse because the sensor or switch has broke or possibly moved. I would try shifting through all of the gears (neutral, D2 D3 D if you have them) before taking it to a repair shop.
