Can anyone tell me why my washer would only rinse with hot water no matter what setting it’s on.
The water temperature switch in the console of the washer controls the water temperature and sends voltage to the water valve. If the temperature in the rinse cycle is hot water, then the water temperature switch is likely the failed component. The water temperature switch senses water temperature through a thermistor (resistance temperature detector) that is on the fill valve assembly. If the rinse temperature is cold, then you could have a failed thermistor and the water fill valve would need to be replaced.
