MacBook Pro 8 2 2011 I was working on my quickbooks when my screen went completely red. I manually turned off my computer and turned it back on. The working line was red and never loaded. I shut it down again and ran an error test. I got this error code: 4SNS/1/C0000008: Ts0P–124 So I manually shut down again and tried to start it in safe mode. It acted like it would reboot but then went to a white screen. My computer will not get past the login screen. What do I need to do?

First you have a bad thermal sensor which is what the error is: TsOP = Palmrest Proximity sensor. Often when I see this the system has gotten something spilled into the keyboard and/or trackpad which has corroded the connections. The sensor is part of the Trackpad assembly. Here is the IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Early 2011 Trackpad Replacement. You should also make a full inspection of the system for any other corrosion damage and also clean out any dust in the fan’s and fins.

I had this error. Put “defective"trackpad into a new machine. Error gone. Searched the web and people said the webcam cable could also be to blame. Disconnected webcam cable. All issues stopped.
