Hi, I’m trying to replace the jack cable of my stereo headset (4 poles) I did repair some other headphones (3 poles) in the past.
I cant figure out how to solder those wires properly
(and why there is no gnd?) into a 3.5mm jack like this one
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
@jachavik looks to me like you got it all worked out already. Follow the color code on your second pictures with the exception of the white wire. Since you tested it to be the mic connect that to Ring 2. The copper wires around the individual cables can actually be used as ground so solder that to the sleeve.
