I want to replace my iPhone 7 home button flex cable, and I was wondering that the touch sensor will work or not?

If you replace the flat cable that has the button attached to it, you will loose both Touch ID and Home Button functions. Your button will be a useless fixture. If you replace the screen extension cable that is part of the backlight panel (and doesn’t have the home button directly attached to it), you don’t loose your Touch ID function. And in case that cable was damaged before, preventing Touch ID from working, then you gain that function back.

Not sure, mine 5s touch id works after replacing home button flex.it also depend upon person who repair it

Actually home button flex ribbon broke down, so what to do with it! How to make my home button and touch sensor work again?? Plz help me friends!!!
