I bought the SSD package for my iMac 4K 2019 but it doesn’t come with an adapter to fit the space of the old HDD. Do I need to buy one separately?

Nope it should just theoretically pop in after you disassemble the computer, take out the old SATA cables, and unscrew the hdd.
