Hi, I have an iphone 8 plus I bought to fix, and I am looking for a “parts phone”. I found one on Ebay, but it is disabled and i’m wondering if swapping parts from it to the broken phone will disable it? I am looking to swap the camera, power/volume button flex cable, and LCD screen.
You should not have the “iPhone is Disabled” message after replacing these parts. Keep in mind that swapping a screen from one phone to another will disable True Tone and will cause your phone to display a “screen may not be genuine” message. The JC V1S or a similar reprogrammer will restore the True Tone functionality on the new screen, however, the “screen may not be genuine” message may still show.
