My IPod (First Generation) will not let you slide the bar to unlock. Turns on/off but cannot slide???
sounds like the digitiser (front screen) needs to be replaced. You could try to reset the ipod by holding home and power button until apple appears and then allow to reboot but if that fails then probably you will need to replace the screen. the guide is linked under the photo of the ipod. Just select the generation you have and you will then find the guide you need and a link to parts if you want to buy from ifixit.
