This one was working fine. It was shut down and in the morning I got nothing. I disconnect the mag-safe adapter, disconnect the battery from the logic board. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Now plug the battery back in then the mag-safe and did not get a spontaneous reboot. The keyboard lights occasionally, but no post tone. It will shut down the keyboard lights when I press the the location of the normal start. The fans do not come on. @danj any ideas? This machine has not been worked on by anyone else, I did the initial system installation and data migration in late 2016. It has had no problems till now. I’m pretty sure it would also have Symantec anti-virus on it. I left it plugged in overnight, so I assume the battery is charged.
