Power supply good. When turned on Asus logo appears but disappears leaving a blinking cursor in upper left of screen and no further activity. Soft boot only repeats actions. Limited repair experience, what else can I do? Gil S.
If you have access to another computer, I would create some kind of a bootable USB drive and see if you can get the machine to boot from the thumb drive. If it boots, there are some ways we can see if your hard drive is working properly. My suspicion is that the hard drive is not booting the machine for some reason, but usually you would see an error about being unable to access the drive. Make sure that “quick boot” options are disabled in your BIOS so that you see all the information the machine will provide during bootup.
