I have a broken 2012 MBP Unibody 13" with original keyboard. I also have a 13" 2011 model which had its keyboard replaced with an aftermarket one at the shop. I really don’t like the aftermarket one, since the keys are far more mushy and less consistent across the various keys. I’m wondering if the 2012 keyboard is compatible with the early 2011 model? Does anybody have insights into this? Thank you, Ilhan
If you are just swapping the keyboard, and not the whole palmrest, yes. It is an easy repair to swap these, but it is time consuming due to the amount of screws.
