i never use my disk drive and i was wondering to save space and battery if i could just remove it
I’m a bit confused here? You need a storage drive to run your system (HD or SSD). Do you mean you want to remove the optical drive? If that is your question it does not make sense taking it out. The drive does not weigh that much and it does not consume power when not in use. It also is needed to give the system some structural integrity and you don’t want a gaping hole for stuff to get into your system.
