Chosen Solution
I am interested in buying a replacement battery for my 2018 MacBook Pro Touch Bar, but a repair shop where I live (not authorized by apple and selling Chinese batteries) is telling me my machine will not recognize their batteries and that my only option is to change the entire top case. I would only like to know if the replacement batteries sold by iFixit will show the same problem. I do not live in the US and would be taking some risk to ship the battery here without any opportunity to return. thanks in advance
Boy! You got a great line thrown at you, trying to dazzle you by BS!! Lets clarify things…. If the battery needs replacing then you can use the iFixit battery. There is no need to replace the full uppercase. The issue is people don’t bother following the guides to learn how to properly remove the battery as its glued in! So they go with the easier and much more expensive solution. Now lets make sure your battery is the issue! To get a better view of things, install this gem of an app!
