I had read about error 53 where issues with the touch ID would cause the iPhone to show error 53. I have read that this error was removed last year. I was repairing my iPhone 6 Plus shattered phone last week and accidently broke the Touch ID cable and have been using the assistive touch ever since. I would like to upgrade from 11.0.3 to 11.1 when it comes out and would like to know if it is safe to do so over the air (without using itunes) and not get any iPhone bricking error. Thanks
I have no direct experience yet with iOS11.1 but Error 53 was settled a while ago.
Do not upgrade your phone will be bricked on recovery mode so keep up with the same version even I have a iPhone not working for the same reason
