This is similar to the 2012 issue however, i could not find a response. I dropped my phone flat on its back - the screen turned grey and has since not turned on. I tried to connect to my computer and press and hold the on/off and home button for 20 seconds - no success. I took the phone to a “ubreakifix” store in dc and they said it was the motherboard. SO the question is, can i get photos off of this phone in any way, since icloud is not an option. Can anyone recommend a company to send the phone to for repair? Update (10/02/2015) Do you know if it’s possible to connect to a computer if your logic card is broken?

Not sure what you mean “logic card”. There are very many degrees of broken. It’s possible you can connect it to your laptop/pc, and be able to get connectivity. Depends on how broken your phone is. Try it, see what happens

You need to restore to a backup, or already have a backup to restore to. Like my basic html teacher said “save often and save well”

In regards to your opening question, you cannot change the logic board and keep the current memory. Have you hooked the phone up to itunes or a PC to see if it can recognize the iPhone? If it does then you can extract the photos that way.

I have tried that. If the logic board is the only thing broken would it still be recognized by a computer? Rephrasing. Is it possible to connect to a computer w a broken logic board? When I connected to a computer it did not recognize.
