This question is simply, will an aftermarket home button flex work / respond to the simple click function on an iPhone 7. ifixit are selling it: [linked product missing or disabled: IF332-002-3] Can I get input on whether you have tried and it worked or not (please don’t hijack this to relate to screens, HB extension flex e.t.c as there are already threads on that)
Hi, Since the home button relies on Touch ID to work for the normal button click to work, a replacement would not work, as this of course stops Touch ID, which also means even the standard home button haptic click will not work. Hope this clears things up. :-)
