Hello guys Ive got a macbook pro 2010 with a broken battery light cable. The one that shows you how much charge you have in your battery if you press the little silver button (it’s part number: 821-0828-A). I clumsily broke the flimsy little thing and now I can’t get the machine to power in at all. I need to know if this is coincidental, or if this cable prevents the machine from powering on at all. It does seem unlikely to me. But I’ve visual checked all my other connections and they seem fine. Unfortunately I don’t have a multimeter here to check. Thanks for reading, I hope you can confirm this one way or another so I can move on in my quest to solve this!
While you can disconnect it. I would just replace it with a good one. It’s not an expensive part (aprox. $12 US) It’s also not difficult to replace.
