can I replace a glossy display on an 2011 A1297 with a matte display from a 2009 A1297 ?
Sadly the parts are not interchangeable. You will need this matte screen Apple P/N 661-5471 iFixit is out of stock here’s a good source: Unibody Macbook Pro 17" Complete Display (11) - Anti-Glare : Grade-A FYI: The 2009 matte version is Apple P/N 661-5095
