I was successfully able to replace the battery in my MBP 13" E2015. It turned on, and I thought everything was good. However, I cannot connect to the wifi. Wifi as an option for connection doesn’t even appear and the wifi icon in the menu bar has an exclamation point on it. I know that. my router and everything is ok because other computers I have connect just fine. When I try to run the diagnostics I just get a -1005F error. I haven’t fully finished calibrating the battery. I am looking for suggestions before I take it to a repair shop…
I ended up taking it to a repair shop and the io cable was damaged. I probably bent it too far back when I was trying to move it out of the way.
@osiala, When you did the replacement, did you use the iFixit battery guide? If so, is it possible that you got too close to the Wireless card in steps 11-13? There are some antenna cables and the card itself on the top left, so I’d start by taking off the back cover again and inspecting the card and the antenna connections. Sometimes I even disconnect the antennas and take out the card, then put it back together even if I think I didn’t do nothing to it. Resetting SMC is another step after checking the card and it’s antennas.
