Every time I try to connect to wifi it tells me the signal is too weak. I’ve tried plugging it in to the PS3/PS4 and the router and no luck. Any ideas? Is there a way to replace the wireless card/broadband adapter?
Hi! While there is no user replaceable WiFi-Card, you could try reseating the antenna connector. Follow this guide until step 11 and unplug the cable that’s marked with purple in the guide. If that does not work either get closer to the router or replace the main board. Note that even if you plug the PSP into a PS3/ PS4/ router via USB the internet connection won’t be shared.
It will always say signal too weak. There is nothing wrong with the WiFi card, but the communication protocol is outdated and no longer supported, hence the said error. Just buy an old router that is still compatible and bridge to your network.
