Hello everyone, i am having a problem on my iPhone 7 where occasionally they wifi icon will be grayed out in control centre and settings. From my research this seems to be a hardware problem but I’m not sure which part needs to be replaced exactly. I’ve attached a screenshot of some of the options that come up for antenna replacement on amazon. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Greyed out Wi-Fi will not be fixed by replacing the antenna. With the IPhone 7 there are two IC’s that can cause this problem. 1. The Wi-Fi IC. This is the most common IC to fail. It will not be a cheap repair. 2. The audio IC. This is not the common problem but if there is any sign of audio problems, or you have had the audio IC repaired I would not rule it out. Do not waste your money and time on antenna replacements. This problem will have to be addressed by an experienced repairer.
