Alright so first off, I don’t know much about computers so you guys might have to kind of walk me through this one. Now, basically what is happening is that my laptop (Asus X200MA running Windows 10) is missing a driver… or at least I think. Where it used to show the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar it now just shows an Ethernet symbol with no connection. I’ve tried everything to fix it. Nothing works. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I already tried downloading the wireless connection driver from the Asus website. It installed, I restarted my laptop and still nothing… i just want to use mynlaptop and not have to pay to get it fixed… P.s I am willing to factory reset it if needed. I already did and it still dis nothing. P.p.s it does work when I use an Ethernet cable…
Hi, If it doesn’t appear in Device Manager then check in BIOS to see if the WiFi has been disabled. Start the laptop and then press F2 before Windows boots. Once in the BIOS menu, select the Security tab and find the Wireless Network Interface setting. Ensure that it is set to Unlock View the options in the right pane of the screen on which keys to use if you have to change it.. Here is an image to show what I mean.

First of all, you should go to the BIOS settings, and Ensure that the wifi adapter is enabled on your pc. if it is not enabled, you may enable it. now go to the device manager and check the presence of wireless adapter. Probably, you don’t have a wireless adapter on your pc, if you have any, than it must not be latest one. that’s why your pc is not detecting the wireless connection. so you should remove the wireless driver from your pc, and install a new driver, for more assistance, you can visit: how to fix asus laptop wifi not working problem
