When I turn on my laptop the screen will not turn on and stays black.
First check and see if your battery is dead and if it is plug in your charger and see if the screen turns on. Having a dead battery can cause the screen to not turn on. Another solution is to do the built-in LCD self-test: · Turn the computer off. · Press and hold the D key while pressing the power button. This will start the Laptop LCS BIST. · The screen will start flashing with colors. Take note of any lines, distortion, or any other video issues. · The laptop will restart when the test is finished.
