So i replaced the screen on my phone and i tried testing it and it had the icon telling me to charge it. I didnt think to charge it before i checked if the touch screen worked so when i charged it i tried using it but it didnt work and i had sealed the screen shut (this is where my problem happened) so when i reopened the phone i ripped the home button flex cable and the screen went black i put the phone back together and tried charging the phone plus i tried unplugging the battery and plugging it back and i have no response, can the phone still work if i just replace the home button?
The phone will work with a replacement Home Button (minus Touch ID) and even without a home button. You need to determine if you damaged something else, such as the Lightning Port or the Screen Assembly flex cables. Open the phone and closely inspect those elements. If you have doubts about your replacement screen, install the original to see if the phone boots or not.
