My ps4 will turn on then do the system check gets to about 60% then tells me can not turn on ps4 and i shoukd connect a flashdrive to it with a new update.
Sounds like your system software has been corrupted or that you input a new drive that needs to be re-encrypted. You can find the system firmware files HERE. Sony has a step by step guide to reinstalling the system firmware. Note: Any save files and downloaded games may be delete when doing a reinstall, unless you have Playstation Plus subscription to back up your saves online, you are likely to lose your progress. Also keep in mind that you USB stick needs to be formatted to FAT32 or exFAT for the PS4 to recognize it.
