I can try to reset it by holding top and front button, but it just shows the apple then turns off again. it is not recognized by the computer and wont show my device in itunes
Hold down the home button while you plug it in to your computer; keep holding it until the “Connect to iTunes” logo shows up, then restore the firmware with iTunes.
