my iPhone received water damage last night. it worked fine but wont connect to any charger and now that the charge is gone the phone is nothing more than a paperweight. i was wondering which part you think is damaged. im hearing battery, dock connector, and fuse on the logic board. i personally think its the connector but id like to get a more experienced persons opinion before i end up buying all three to find out that the last thing i bought is what was the problem. it will not charge on anything and itunes doesn’t recognize it. what do you think?

it may be a faulty dock connector. Inspect the dock connector closely and see if there are signs of damage, corrosion or missing pins etc. You should take a look at THIS guide too Also check out this tool: iPhone 3GS Dock Connector

see if it charges turned off after it the “this accessory may not be supported” message appears. It happened to me and I changed both, the battery and the port but it didn’t change anything

I have no answers but still looking for answers. I have had my iPhone 6 a long time and I was having trouble charging on my car charger. I noticed this happen after the iPhone updates. I have recently installed a new battery and went to my Verizon store and purchased a charger that they said was compatible with my iPhone. I keep getting a message when I connect to the new car charger on my screen stating: “It does not recognize this device”. I went back to my Verizon and they checked the charger and said it is working. They were of no help other then their response was to call the manufacture of the devise I purchased from my Verizon store and see if they will replace it. My iPhone 6 seems to take a charge from the car charger in question but it takes hours before it show any type of a charge increase. I there any solution to this problem that I have seen in many post on the Internet, but no real good answers. Wildman GM
