Why wont the device work when it is unplugged? I changed the batteries
The AA batteries in the iHome iH9 are for backup purposes only. They provide continuous clock and alarm operation and save your radio presets in the event of a power failure. The iH9 requires power from a wall socket to function, so plug the speaker in to a wall socket via the power chord.
