Hey guys, I recently did a screen replacement on an iPhone 5c. Nothing out of the norm. However, during the swap, the phone started vibrating uncontrollably with no screen connected to it. I disconnected the battery until the repair was done and then, obviously, reconnected the battery. As soon as it came back on, it was vibrating uncontrollably again. I reset the device and it seemed to have made it stop for the time being. Today, it started to do it again. Is there a permanent fix for this? I’m sure that I could keep resetting it all the time but that seems like a bit of a pain. Thanks in advance!
My guess is that you’ve damaged something, leaving the battery connected while changing the display. Let’s try a force restart, and see where we go from there. Likely need to replace something How to Force Restart an iPhone 5c
