Hello, My buddy recently tried to replace his iPhone 6S screen. He followed the directions and managed to get everything switched over. However, when he turns the phone on, the lock screen will come up for a split second and then turn off again. He gave it to me, and I checked to make sure the cables were connected properly. I also discharged the battery. That did not help, so I attempted to reinstall the old screen. Both screens are doing the same thing now. I did notice something odd. After the battery has been discharged, when connected to a charger the charging icon will come up and stay visible. When it has been charged sufficiently, the phone will boot up and the lock screen will show for a split second and then turn black. It sounds like you can still interact with it. Truthfully, I’m baffled. I have no idea what the issue is.
I would try to connect just the digitizer and LCD and not connect the front camera connector. (see this step in the guide). If that doesn’t work, then try hard reset (presse the home & power button for 10 secs). You could always try a DFU Mode but that would delete your data.
