When I plug in my device the battery will not charge

I think it is a problem with the port. If someone can create a guide on that it’d help a lot. The usb-c port in this device is quite weak as easy to break.
In my case I had to replace my battery as documented elsewhere in this section.
Turn on the dead tablet without using the power……the dead battery will flash on the screen. Before the dead battery icon disappear, plug the charger/cord to the power outlet. Wait maybe 10mins, then try turning it on while its still plugged in and it should turn on. It worked for me.
In our case my sons iPad 6gen 2yrs old will not charge and you have to do a hard rest then plug into charger and place the charging cable on an angle to get it connect.. I don’t know if it’s the port itself, or the actual software? any help would be appreciated as it’s really only a new iPad
