Chosen Solution
When I tried playing games they wouldn’t load. I was going to go to settings but then the “turn console off, turn controller off, restart Xbox (first time seeing this)” sign came up. I tried choosing turn console off but it didn’t work so I ended up having to restart my Xbox. Now my Xbox console won’t “turn off” even though there is nothing om the screen and every time I press the button on the actual console it dings. I’ve been waiting for 2 hours. I’m wondering if I should unplug it.
I have had this problem one or two times, but it resolved itself after a minute or two. If you have waited hours, you should unplug it, wait a minute and plug it back in. If it still doesnt work, you might check microsoft support.
In case anyone has the same problem, we decided to unplug it from the outlet (not from the console) and left it unplugged for 5-10 min. Plug it in and it should work just fine.
