I hear the boot sound but there’s no image on the screen. I tried an smc reset and a pram reset. i tried to connect to an external monitor but the monitor never got a signal.
This is a known issue. I took it to the genius bar and they fixed it even though it was out of warranty. The problem was with the logic board (video card).
Try booting from the CD. Insert a install disk and boot holding the “C” key down.

Mi macbook pro takes almost 6 minutes to starts… it is faster if I start with windows (30 secs. boot camp) A blue screen appears after the starting sound and it stays like that
