Hello, I have a problem with my IPad. After replacing the digitizer (with IFixIt parts, dissasembled and assembled with IFixIt tools, and using the IFixIt guide) I found out that the only thing that does not work is my lower speakers. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the screen replacement, it might just be a coincidence, but is there anything I can try? Thanks, Mitch
Generally speaking, there is no reason to touch/work on the speakers while changing the digitizer. Do you know for certain if the speakers worked before the repair? The speaker connections go through the charge port flex, which is soldered onto the logic board. I would visually inspect the flex (without removing it). Take a look at this picture. If you see any damage to the flex, get a good picture and post it here so I can take a look.
