Chosen Solution

I’ve been charging my speaker for a lengthy amount of time, but for some reason my speaker won’t turn on when I press the “power” button.

If your UE Boom portable speaker is refusing to turn on, see the UE Boom Won’t Turn On problem page for possible problems and solutions.

  1. Try a factory reset Press and hold down both the volume button and the power button for about 10 seconds until you hear a sound. After that the device should turn off. Try turning it on after that.
  2. If that doesn’t work try using the USB cable and plugging your UE BOOM into your computer (a software may automatically install for the USB connection). Try turning it on while you are connected, then disconnect and turn the power off, then turn it back on like normal again. Take a look at our trouble shooting page for more information and possible solutions. UE BOOM Troubleshooting Page

You may just need a new USB-Micro charging cable. The one I got in the box was a cheap POS that didn’t work. I used a different one, solid connection and presto.

hmmm I am having the same issue. It powers up when plugged into a power source but when its not plugged in I click power it blinks white than turns off completely. I got lucky couple times where it turned on I checked battery status and it advised me 90% charged but after playing music it shuts off again and I can never get it back on until I wait the next day if I’m lucky

There’s a reset button somewhere. Mostly inside the aux port or at the bottom. Insert a thin pin that will press the button inside the aux port or at the bottom of the speaker.

i left my pink big blue on charger last night it wont turn on i tried everyyhing on the reset i was only on charger for 5 hours whst fo i do

Try to disassemble the speaker dry it with dry clothe and blow dry the speaker with hair blower and search for how to disassembled the ue boom 2 in youtube… And find the bleeding hole of the speaker try to put an electrical tape or anything to cover our seal the hole… The bleeding hole is located of either the top our bottom covers…

Technology and businesses are wonderful. They create things that people think they want, you spend the money and then you are lucky if they work, however, they do work during the warranty period, but soon after the warranty period, the device will no longer turn on, no matter if I hold blue tooth button, on button, plus or negative button in any configuration for any amount of time. Plugging it in to the computer, and downloading their wonderful software, does nothing. The funny thing is that its about 13 months old, and has been used maybe a total of 20 hours, so do not tell me that the battery is an issue. The item is garbage and no one cares about the consumers, plain and simple. This has happened before, also outside of the warranty, and a factory reset worked, this time it does not. So what does that mean, well for me, it just means that I will no longer support this company for any future purchases. I should have just bought another Bose device, but the individual that the speaker was intended for liked the idea of “Alexa” but that never really worked that well either. Go figure!

were can I send my ue boom for repair?

I used a higher power 2.4 amp connector I had laying around between the USB and the outlet. Poof. Now the battery charges and the speaker stays on. I guess it just needed more juice.

I just brought the ultimate ears blast and I charged it and it wouldn’t turn on even when I connect the charger. All it does is when I connect the charger the light next to the import flashes twice and then stops

I have the same problem with my UE Blast, does not turn on and plug in the cable LED flash twice. Email UE support and they asked me to try the Diagnostic Tool at https://support.ultimateears.com/en/blas… to reset the speaker and it fixed the speaker.

I have the same problem. My UE boom Bluetooth is on its 3 days now and it doesn’t turn on, but what cause is was electricity came on while it was in charge and was some music at the same time.pls help

Hi, yesterday I went to disconnect my BOOM 3 by using my iPhone and instead of hitting Disconnect I hit Forget Device so it dropped off of my Bluetooth devices. But then today I went to put it back on and I cannot get it to turn back on no matter what I do. I have tried holding the on button for three seconds, for 10 seconds and even tried doign the factory reset pressing of volume plus on/off button and I cannot get it to show it is on. Even in my app, in Settings it says turn your speaker on. Which I cannot do? Can anyone help me activate the on button. It has also been plugged in on the charger all night; my phone says it is 100% charged.
