My iPhone randomly died, it had been through a little bit of trauma, it was thrown against the floor and got a little bit bent. But it worked perfectly fine still. Then suddenly it turned off and it won’t even charge. What’s going on??? Is there any way to fix this? If not is there any way to replace it for free?
Thrown to the floor ? It was very lucky the phone worked at all after that. Further a bent case puts continued pressure on components. Would not be surprised a bigger chip inside got partly lifted from the logic board and developed oxide with time. You may try replacing battery not to let a cheap and easy replacement untried but it may as well be useless. A lab into microsoldering may figure out what the issue is and repair it but it won’t be a cheap fix. Replace it for free ? whom would you exactly expect to do that and why ?
