Hello, I purchased an iFixit battery replacement kit and followed the iFixit guide to replace the battery in my iPhone 5s. Everything seemed to go well. However, after I reassembled the phone, it appeared as though I could not turn it on. However, I noticed that the back of the phone grew warm, so I attached a lightning cable to my Mac and the Mac recognized the phone. So, I’m not getting anything at all from the screen, but the phone is getting power and my Mac recognized it. What are the first things I should check? My screen has always worked fine. Thank you!
Try reseating the screen cables, make sure to unplug battery first before doing so. If you still have a black screen shine a flashlight on the screen to see if the backlight circuit has gone bad. Most likely the screen got damaged during the battery replacement.
