I haven’t dropped it, replace any parts, nor exposed it to water damage . I tired the hard reboot, plug it into different apple charges and cord, and into iTunes on my mac and MacBook Pro. Still won’t work. Note: only thing i didn’t use is the finger id touch pad from day one. I covered it up.
If you change the battery and it powers on, then you may have damaged the Tristar chip (known commanly as the U2 IC) This is damaged by cheap chargers. This is probably why you can’t get it to charge. Try a new battery, it will probably turn on and be able to charge, but if the battery dies and doesn’t charge, then this confirms the U2 IC problem. :-)
conkar, since you “haven’t dropped it, replace any parts, nor exposed it to water damage” your phone should still be covered under warranty. Take it to where you bought it from and have it replaced.
When you opened your phone up to look at the board did you happen to disconnect the battery? I have had to reset many 5s and 5c phones (no 6’s yet) simply by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Hard reboots, different chargers or hooking it up to a computer would ever turn it on.
Pls take a look at this. Behind the sims card. that doesn’t look right, but IDK
