My mother washed my phone on accident and we left it in rice for a week or two. However the phone will power on but does not allow service. I can call and text on Wi-Fi but the data doesn’t work.
I would advise on using the phone as you are now. There is no simple fix for this problem and I doubt that any repair shop would consider trying to fix your device if this problem occurred after water damage.
