I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4074. I am not sure if there is a CD inside or not, but the Optical Disk Drive will not open. How can I get it to open? If I cannot get it open, do I need to replace it? How do I make that determination?
It could be a few issues. Maybe the drivers recognizing are corrupt and need to be reinstalled. Go to settings, remove drive and restart and reinstall drivers. It could also be that mechanism is faulty. There is usually a very tiny pinhole along the middle of flap or beside button. Use small paper clip and push into hole. Drive will come out enough to pull.
