My iPod’s home button is broken, so I can’t force restart. It quit charging, even though it said it was charging, and it now won’t even show the dead battery logo. It might just need charged with an actual Apple charger, but I’m worried that the amount of times I’ve dropped this thing might have finally caught up to me.
Probably one of two things. Either you need a new battery, or a new charging port. It is possible that you’ve broken the u2ic chip, or one of these components, from using aftermarket chargers. You’re going to need to do some testing, to figure out which is the problem
