Recently, my Iphone 5s died from low power and I didn’t charge it for a couple days. Yesterday I tried to turn it on after charging it for a while and it wouldn’t start. I tried holding down the top button and the home button at the same time for 20 seconds and that didn’t work either. I later tried to connect it to itunes to restore it, but it wouldn’t come up as a device on itunes or on my computer at all.
Does the lightning connector charger cable go fully into the port? The white plastic port of the plug shouldn’t have a large gap between the bottom housing of the metal frame and the connector plug plastic part. If it does then there is blockage in the charger port and it needs to be cleaned. Use a toothpick to clean it out and try charging it. Is it stuck on the charging battery logo?
