when i plug my phone in, it does absolutely nothing.
If it’s only 6 months old, take it to Apple, you have 1 year of Apple warranty, as long as no one has tampered with it by opening it, you should be fine. If you have been using cheap charging cables and not original, then you will more than likely have damaged the U2 IC chip on the logic board that controls charging and sync. I wouldn’t mention about cheap cables or anything to Apple, if you have been doing that, they’ll refuse to replace or repair it. :-)
