I’ve been using this extender cable on my old tv.
HDMI Switch,GANA 3 Port 4K HDMI Switch 3x1 Switch Splitter with Pigtail Cable Supports Full HD 4K 1080P 3D Player https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VX1PKQ7/ref… this is my new computer monitor: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-27-uhd-i… when I turn on anything, be it Xbox, ps5, or PC all I get is a black screen, but if I use a regular cable with no attachments it works fine. Any idea what kind of hdmi extender cable will work with my monitor? I’ve many things to attach but only one hdmi port, it’s a pain to always have to move my desk to change cables.
Found the problem, the cable was HDCP incompatible, bought a powered one, works perfectly.
According to that product’s documentation, there are some performance limitations.
- For some devices, the HDMI Switch may not work when only one input device is powered on. In this case, please turn on two or all the three input source devices to provide enough power.
- This HDMI Switch supports up to 4K/30Hz. If your input device (such as PS4 Pro) runs 4K/60Hz, it won’t work. In this case, please lower the resolution on your input device.
- This HDMI Switch can’t switch automatically, only by manually pressing the SELECT button.
- For PS4 Pro (and, presumably, PS5) this HDMI switch supports up to 2160P-YUV420. 2160P-RGB is not supported yet.
