Even after charging my device, when I press the power button, the GPS is not turning on. I have even tried replacing the battery, and it is still not turning on.
There could be multiple reasons why your device is not turning on. Consider checking to see if your charger is working properly by testing it on a separate device. If it is not a defective charger, then there may be more serious issues such as a faulty motherboard or display screen. I had a similar problem… Searching through the internet, I found that holding down the power button reset my device. So with a little search, you can find someone who already had the problem & was kind enough to post it to the interwebs. Thanks, my Garmin 58 LM is back up and running for my delivery job! I also have the 55LM unit as a backup Both are running flawlessly for over the 3 years that I owned them used from Craig’s list. I also own 2 older 1300 series with lifetime map updates. Still works to this day, used from Craig’s list as well Also had a Magellan GPS, but prefer the interface of the Garmin
my nuvi 2589 would not turn on . then tried next day and it worked but how can you rely on it to make a jouney, can’t wait till next day to see if it will work
We all see that there is a problem so, what’s the solution? My GARMIN is my baby, I always relied upon its service to get me from point A to point B and back to point A again, home. this is the second garmin that wont turn on anymore,,i consider these $@$* and should have stuck with the tom tom i had for years, pilled it out of the desk after sitting for years and it still works fine, the garmin is pretty much a one year use disposable piece of crap
Their are so may reasons, why Garmin GPS won’t turn on. The main reason is the battery problem. Try to update your device or reset the device to fix this issue.
