Chosen Solution
So basically I’ve been messing with this all day. I’ve looked at every YouTube video and read every online article on this subject today. I tried every different variation of the same thing. I factory reset my entire console and erased all of my games. I hard reset, soft reset, factory reset, turned all of them on and off, tried pairing with other controllers, using the USB cord. like anything you could think of. I connected all of the controllers with ease to my one x. But my one s just won’t connect. I’ve come to the conclusion that my console is broken. The Blue tooth button has been broken since I bought it, but could always pair easily with the USB. I recently unpaired my previous controller in attempt to make that one my Xbox one x controller for a while. Once I tried to reconnect I realized I messed up when none of them would sync again. I’ve contacted tech support and they say basically I will need to fix it. So after all of this my question is what do you think is wrong with it? Is it the blue tooth chip, the rf module, could it be a loose connection? What would be the best way to start this journey? Tomorrow I plan on taking it apart to see if it’s just a loose connection but don’t know if you guys know where to go afterwards? Sorry for the long question I just thought I would answer all the generic things I’ve done because I’ve answered so many questions today. ??
I’m assuming you tried plugging the controller into the back. In that case, I’d recommend opening up the Xbox and checking for loose wires and/or blown components. In addition, I’d recommend replacing the RF board(guide here) which should fix the problem of the controllers not connecting wirelessly.
